The Alaska USA Title Agency TeamCrystal Peltola Crystal has called Alaska home for the last 38 years. She started in the title insurance business in 1982 and has worked in the industry ever since. After 26 years in title insurance, she continues to enjoy her job and the people she meets along the way. As a long-time board member and past President of the Alaska Land Title Association, Crystal was instrumental in instituting education seminars for the title industry. She is an avid participant in the American Cancer Society's Annual Relay for Life and is currently the President of the Dimond High School PTSA. Title DepartmentCindy Landreth Born in Dallas, Cindy moved to Alaska in 1976. She has more than 32 years experience in the title industry in both Alaska and Kansas, and enjoys the challenge of being on the ground floor of a new company. Cindy is an active volunteer in the American Cancer Society, Alaska Land Title Association, and Moose Lodge Family Center. In her free time, Cindy likes to pitch horseshoes, ride motorcycles, camp, fish, and snow machine. Jennifer Weynand Jennifer is originally from Grafton, Wisconsin, but moved to the great state of Alaska in 1988. She has worked in the title industry for 12 years and always looks forward to helping clients with their title needs. Jennifer has been an active volunteer for The American Cancer Society since 2000. She enjoys camping in Homer and Seward and snow machining at Hatcher Pass. Esthermari Alvarez Having spent the majority of her life traveling around the United States and overseas, Esthermari decided to settle down in Alaska and has called it home for five years. She has more than two years experience in the real estate business and enjoys the fast-paced environment at AUTA and the details of recording title documents. Esthermari enjoys reading true-crime documentaries and taking in Anchorage's cuisine with friends. Scott Lindberg Scott brings to the table both title industry experience, as well as a financial background. Before joining the Alaska USA team, he worked 3 1/2 years as a title assistant where he specialized in land and foreclosure recording. Scott also held various positions at a local financial institution, including preparing new loan packages and researching property taxes. Originally hailing from Colorado, Scott moved to Alaska when he was three years old. He was drawn to Alaska USA Title Agency because of the reputable staff and the stability of Alaska USA. In his spare time, Scott enjoys outdoor activities, including snowboarding and golf. Escrow DepartmentRenate Houser Renate carries more than 20 years of escrow, real estate, financial, sales, and office management experience. She has held various committee chair positions for the Alaska State Escrow Association (ASEA) and the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women (NAPMW). Renate has also been involved with the Anchorage and Wasilla Board of Realtors and Alaska Mortgage Bankers Association (AMBA). She currently is a volunteer for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Anchorage. Renate enjoys the theater, bowling, golf, travel, and most of all, spending time with her family. Barbara Williams Barb moved to Alaska in 1978 and worked for Alaska USA in the payroll, consumer lending, and collection departments for five years. In 1986, she spent three years in Hawaii working in the mortgage lending and closing business and later returned to Alaska and has been in the escrow closing field ever since. A background in both lending and escrow gives Barb an advantage in closing, since she's been on both sides and understands the mortgage loan requirements of the secondary market and lender documents, as well as escrow closing. Her hobbies include fishing, sewing, crafts, and spending time with her pets. Linda Wilson Linda has over 22 years experience in escrow, real estate, mortgage lending, and office management. She has worked 11 years for Alaska USA in Mortgage Operations, most recently as the Senior Mortgage Closer. Linda moved from Tennessee to Alaska in 1977 and currently lives with her family in Wasilla, where she is active in the community. Lisa Hood A native of Oregon, Lisa moved to Alaska as a child and has called it home ever since. She worked eight years in the home lending business; six of those years in the closing/funding department where she worked closely with the escrow department. Lisa is an associate of the Moose Lodge and an avid bowler. She's also a collector of cookbooks and antiques and enjoys snowshoeing, camping, and watching movies. Tamara Rasco Tamara has lived in Alaska since 1995. She has more than 20 years lending experience, 13 of those years at Alaska USA. Tamara is excited about her switch to escrow services and enjoys the always-changing environment. She is currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration through Ashford University in Clinton, Iowa. Her hobbies include spending time with her two Border collies, crocheting, knitting, camping, and traveling. |
